Rosa Ma. Noel-Joaquin
“Bing”, as she is fondly called by family and close associates is a Filipina businesswoman who started her career in travel and tourism. She did sales and marketing for a travel agency handling top corporate accounts, dealing with high level executive. She also coordinated major corporate travel arrangements. Her experience and exposure to international destinations provided the ‘stage’ that emboldened her to venture into becoming an entrepreneur. With enough savings, she found a partner and together, they put up a trading company that became a successful purveyor of good quality and world recognized brands. Her global company is a leading distributor of tabletop housewares from mainland USA, Europe and Asia.
She is also currently a marketing consultant for several companies. She was featured, not too long ago in Entrepreneur Magazine for her success in organizing shopping events called “Bazarres”. They highlighted their vision of enabling micro businesses mostly owned by “non-corporate” women to generate extra income and provide an opportunity to market and sell their products. Bing is very proud of her Filipina heritage and supports any opportunity to promote it.
She recently won Ms. Maria Clara for her exquisite Filipiniana gown. She joined Women of our World because she believes in the mission of being instrumental in opening avenues for women with dreams of succeeding in their careers, talents and vocations no matter what creed, age or color.
Having corporate bases in Hawaii and the Philippines, Bing continues to share her love for travel with her husband, Eduardo Joaquin, who is the former General Manager of Philippine Tourism Authority and their two children Eddie and Saree.
